Pack only the money you anticipate to spend on alcohol, tips and only the pocket change you expect to burn and leave the remainder behind.

Contemptuous? Not at all. Just realistic. You could experience a win following a boozy night out with your acquaintances and be blessed enough to hook a long roll at a smokin craps game.
