If you like to have a cocktail every so often, leave your money out of the casino if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Clean out your purse, your money belt, and keep all money, charge cards and checkbooks out of the casino. Grab whatever money you expect to spend on drinks, tips and few dollars you expect to lose and leave the rest behind.
Cynical? Not by any means. Realistic more like. You may well have a win following a drunken night out with your comrades and be lucky enough to catch a long roll at a on fire craps table. Don’t forget that account seeing that it is as brief as it gets if you always drink and bet. The two just do not mix.
Leaving your cash at home is a tiny bit dramatic, but preventative actions for drastic behavior is necessary. If you play to profit, then don’t consume alcohol and bet. If you can afford to be wasteful with your assets without a worry, then drink all the gratuitous booze your stomach are able to handle, but do not take plastic credit and checkbooks to throw into the mix of chasing losses after your dead drunk self loses all the cash!
Allow me to take this a single step further. Don’t consume alcohol and then hop on the net to bet in your favorite casino either. I love to beer from the comfort of my condominium, but seeing that I am hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and keep plastic credit at my fingertips, I can’t drink and wager.
How come? Even though I don’t consume alcohol to excess, once I drink, it is clearly sufficient to cloud my common sense. I gamble, so I don’t drink when betting. If you are more of a drinker, do not bet when you do. Both make for a dangerous, and costly, cocktail.
