If you enjoy a cocktail occasionally, leave your money at home if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your pocketbook, your billfold, and keep all money, credit cards and cheques back at the hotel. Take only the cash you intend to use on beverages, tips and whatever pocket change you anticipate to squander and leave the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not by any means. Just realistic. You might have a win following a boozy evening out with your buddies and be blessed sufficiently to hook a marathon roll at a hot craps game. Hang on to that story because it is as brief as it gets if you consistently consume alcohol and bet. The two simply do not go well together.
Keeping your moolah at home might be a tiny bit drastic, but preventative actions for excessive behavior is a requirement. If you wager to win, then don’t drink alcohol and bet. If you can afford to throw aside your $$$$ nary a concern, then drink all the no charge booze you can handle, but don’t carry credit cards and cheques to throw into the mix of going after losses after your hooched up head throws away all the cash!
Permit me to carry this one step further. Don’t consume alcohol and then go on to the internet to wager in your best-liked casino either. I enjoy a drink from the comfort of my condominium, however seeing that I’m connected through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit in close proximity, I can not drink and wager.
How come? Even though I don’t consume alcohol a lot, once I drink alcohol, it’s certainly sufficient to befuddle my judgment. I bet, so I don’t drink when gambling. If you are more of a drinker, don’t bet at the same time. When mixed, both create a ferocious, and crazy, cocktail.
